Description

American motoring icons don’t come much bigger than the Dodge Viper RT/10, and this 1994 UK delivered SR1 example is a timewarp car with just 24,000kms on the clock.

Finished in the quintessential colour combo of Viper Red with silver racing stripes and grey leather interior, and sporting some of the coolest 3-spoke alloys ever created, this Dodge Viper RT/10 screams ’90s sports car.

The low-slung, squat bodywork with its partially concealed side-exit exhausts presents in beautiful condition owing to its little mileage and having spent most of its time in recent years indoors as part of a large private collection.

The interior is of the same high standard with very comfortable high-bolstered seats and the trademark array of crystal white dials spread across the dashboard. The car retains its original Chrysler radio, too.

A bonus comes in the form of a factory-supplied removable hard top and glass side windows in favour of the standard canvas items, which means you get the comfort and refinement of a coupe when you’re not craving some wind in your hair.

Arguably, the Viper’s biggest talking point when released was the mammoth 8.0 V10 under the hood, producing 400bhp and 630nm coupled with a legendary 6-speed T56 manual transmission which will see you from 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 165mph.

A complete history file accompanies the car with many stamps from Chrysler main dealers, numerous invoices, two keys and fobs, plus a photo of the first owner on the day the car was collected from Speeds Chrysler of Derby.
